Then it became famous with time because of its flavours and texture and eventually became the food of the rich. Joseph Lambert, who used to work at John Harvey Kellogg’s Battle Creek Sanitarium invented the peanut butter making machine in the early time then Dr. Ambrose Straub updated the machine and gave it a new benchmark in 1903. When American started promoting “Meatless Days” then peanut butter became more and more popular in dining tables of Americans. The process for making smooth peanut butter was invented by chemist Joseph Rosefield in 1922. Using partially hydrogenated oil, he invented the way of separating oil from peanut butter. That gave a smooth texture to peanut butter. Later in 1928 Joseph Rosefield licensed a company and started making peanut butter with the name :Peter Pan Peanut Butter”.

A new study on peanut butter claims to have found a way to extend the shelf life of peanut butter by up to 10 months. This study used the common ingredient of peanuts, but instead of using them as the main ingredient, they instead subjected peanut butter to a process of irradiation. This process is also known as the Gamma Irradiation Process(GIP). This process is commonly used in the food industries to kill bacteria to mold all kinds of foods with hygiene. The study used an irradiation process called “Neutron Beam Irradiation” (NBI) which is a type of gamma irradiation. This process increases the shelf life of the product by killing the bacteria that causes spoilage.While most of us are familiar with peanut butter as a lunchbox staple, few realize that this tasty, sandwich spread is also a common ingredient in many other foods. Peanut butter is used in the preparation of sandwiches, puddings, and desserts. It can also be used as a dip for fruits and vegetables, or as a spread on bread. Peanut butter is commonly used in making cookies, which is how the spread has earned its reputation as a “cookie butter.” Expired peanut butter can make you sick so it is better to finish it before the expiry time.   1. Wash all the cups, bowls and other stuff you are using .
  2. Choose your peanuts and peel the harder and softer cover of the nuts.
  3. Wash them properly and dry them with a drier.
  4. Get you sweetener , peanut oil, salt, cocoa powder, nutella, Chocochip and spices.
  5. Put them into the mixer grinder .
  6. Grind them until they show the smooth texture you expect.
  7. Mix more salt and sugar according to your desire.
  8. Hygiene your jar .
  9. Put your butter in the jar and keep it in room temperature for a while
  10. Seal the jar properly and put it in the freezer

Note: Do not use any color to have a better look of the butter. It hampers the taste of the butter and sometimes spoils the butter.

  1.  2 cups of raw and shelled peanuts
  2.  ½ teaspoon of salt (put more or less according to your need)
  3. 1-2 teaspoon of peanut oil

  6. ½ teaspoon of cinnamon along with other spices
  7. Chocochips.
